Drifter Pizza Co. was born about the same time as my daughter Tallulah. The moment I held her, my heart expanded and my priorities changed. My course in life was soon to follow.
"It takes a village to raise a child." The tight knit community, to which I belong here in Sonoma county, is that village. Full of loving, courageous, and adventurous individuals, their positive outlook on life is contagious and invaluable. I am immensely grateful that Tallulah will grow up amongst their influences. Drifter Pizza Co. was founded with the purpose to help create, foster, and contribute to community through the time honored tradition of Neapolitan inspired wood fired pizza. Drifter because pizza is social. Drifter because local matters. Drifter because we are free to roam.
THE TRAILER: aka Petunia
Petunia is a replica of a vintage 1950's Little Caeser "tin can" style trailer. A company based right here in Sebastopol, Little Caeser built small travel trailers from 1946-65. Given Drifter's home base of Sebastopol, we thought it was fitting to model Petunia after a piece of local history.
The interior however is far from "Vintage." Inside she is a modern pizzeria on wheels with a rustic flair. Outfitted with a 3,500lb brick wood fired oven, three tap draft beer tower, and stainless countertop, accented with local salvaged materials and ambience lighting, she certainly helps set the mood. Fully self contained with refrigeration, a hand wash sink, sound system, and a whisper quiet generator (if needed), we can party anywhere her 12'6" body will fit.
